Let's face it, we all procrastinate sometimes but if procrastination becomes your way of life then it's time to stop it! There are 100 reasons why people procrastinate; you will hear reasons like: "I don't feel like doing it", "It's wrong timing", I will do it later "and unfortunately they never do it! The most common reason for PROCRATINATION is LAZINESS! We may not admit it but laziness is the main reason for procrastination! Just pay attention when you hear someone saying: "I don't have the time" next time. And it will never get accomplished. For example, If you don't have the time to watch TV because you have more important things to do then it's acceptable. Because you are making time for doing more important things in your life. But unfortunately, most people are making time for unimportant things in their life. They don't have priorities in life!
Success is not achieved out of the blue, It is an orderly, purposeful course of deciding what you want to with your life, what you will do after your get there, and what steps are to get where you want to be. In order to achieve that, you have to have priorities in life! If you don't have priorities in life, you will find that your life is filled with laziness and procrastination. If you don't overcome it, you will develop a self-defeating behavior that will result in low self-esteem and disappointments. So, the first step in getting rid of procrastination and laziness is to set your priorities. To do this, focus on the things that are most important in your life and make them your priorities. You will be amazed at how much you can get done if you focus on one thing at a time instead of cluttering your mind with multiple tasks.
When you exercise self-discipline in your environment as well as your behaviors, you will make major strides in accomplishing your goals in a shorted period of time. No matter what's happening around you, keep your mind focused on the reward you'll receive by reaching your goals. If people or outside forces distract you, use the power of your mind to block out what impedes your growth and focus exclusively on the task at hand. You will make and extraordinary advancement by refusing to let others change the path you have selected. Overcoming procrastination and staying motivated is the way to lifetime success and happiness.
Another effective way to overcome procrastination is to get organized. The best way to start is with your own room or workplace. Organize the stuff in your room, your work desk and schedule your time. Schedule and manage your time based on your priorities and you will soon find yourself back on track with your life. If you know your priority you will procrastinate! Of course it's ok to take a break, but don't get in the habit of spending more time on your break, and less on your work. If you spend too much time on your break then laziness will start getting in your way.
